More Random Alvarez Facts

Alvarez's post-Break ERA was 4.58, a full run higher than his pre-Break ERA. Sanchez's post-Break ERA was 3.18. Does this make a difference to the analysis? (Serious question. I don't know how to figure out the answer.)

I looked up head-to-heads of all the particulars, and because they played so infrequently (though recently), they weren't much help. Pujols was 0-1 against Alvarez with a walk. Sanchez walked Rolen in his only appearance. Pujols was o-1 against Braz and doesn't seem to have faced Rolen.

But I know that Alex Cora was batting 0 for 100 against Woody Williams going into the NLDS.
