Count Terry Francona as one manager who may have learned from Garnergate. With the Red Sox trailing by one in the seventh, Francona brought in Keith Foulke to face Red-Sox-killer Hideki Matsui. Foulke got Matsui to ground out and was nearly perfect for the next 2.1 innings, allowing the Red Sox one last chance to do something in the bottom of the ninth.

With no outs in the bottom of the ninth, our old pal Dave Roberts just narrowly beat a Posada throw to steal second. And he scores on a Mueller single. 4-4.

Relatedly, Mariano Rivera has now blown two--ahem, TWO--saves this postseason. [Faints]
