Missing the Point

Henson, don't you understand that all Angelenos want to know is where Milton Bradley was in 1993? What's wrong with you? Here it is April 11, 2005, and you want to talk about April 11, 2005?

I wonder what the chemistry is like at the Times. Does Henson secretly brood about being the only good writer among hacks? Does he secretly long for the opportunity to whip out his knowledge of "weird statistics" and impress his manager. It may not matter. Henson is probably cheaper than Plaschke, and after GM's twenty-million dollar plug-pull, the Times will probably have to fire Plaschke, then ask Frank McCourt for a loan to pay Henson.
