Name Change, Part 2000

What about FJT with a subtitle (we can worry about what that is later)? It's a catchy acronym, it keeps with the roots of the site, keeps Jim Tracy honest, but gives everybody some breathing space. Thoughts?

UPDATE: An anonymous poster suggested "Dodgers Institute of Technology" below. A little technical for me, since I can't add two plus two, but thoughts?

UPDATE 2: Jerry says I get to do what I want. So it's FJT (or the original name) or "Dodgers Indeed." Votes will be duly taken into consideration.

  • I think that's a good compromise, Though I never had a problem with your original name.

But I thought you should somehow work Indeed into the title.

    LOL

  • Gotta be Dodgers, indeed. Especially for Instapundit readers.

    The Atlanta guy.

  • Brief lecture.

What if Jim Tracy is no longer fireable? What if he starts becoming that manager that conventional wisdom (no, not the Olney kind) suggests he is a.k.a a fine one? You're still stuck with FJT.

Dodgers Indeed encompasses what I believe to be your most entertaining posts--eviscerating the Plaschkers. I, for one, can't get enough of it. And there is so much ammunition there.

End of brief lecture and back to work...

  • Dodgers, indeed is cool. Maybe "Fire Jim Tracy: Dodgers indeed."

  • I vote for Dodgers Indeed, as well, for the reasons SB outlined.

  • Dodgers, indeed, definitely. Although "Formerly known as 'Fire Jim Tracy'" must appear as a sub-title somewhere on the page.

  • because throwing out ideas is fun, i'll also say that plaschke's latest had me thinking the "the dodger parlance" would be a good name, too. and also because the word parlance reminds me of The Big Lewbowski.

ooh, there's another one! how about The Big Grabowski. i'd say that's at least as good as The Grassy Schmoll.

  • I like Fire Jim Tracy, but I recognize it may not have staying power (say if they DO fire him). However, Dodgers Indeed has a similar problem (if Plaschke mysteriously disappears).

How about Dodgers, Indeed - and a daily 'title.' Some days it would appropriately be "Fire Jim Tracy."

Seems the best of both worlds.
