  • ESPN and LAT is using the AP story with the theme the Giants gave this game away. Never mind drawing two two-out walks from a terrific closer. Never mind the hit that would've at least tied the game. The Giants giving it away means we don't have to give the Dodgers credit! Or am I paranoid?

Prediction: Simers will write the Dodgers continue to get lucky because once an ass, always an ass.

Plaschke will suggest something magical is happening but not-too-subtly will stick with the AP theme that the Dodgers got a gift and oh, how long can it last?

I'm sorry to ramble but this victory represents a very large "Stick It" to everybody who writes about baseball at the Times except for Henson. I'll be VERY curious to see what the yahoos come up with--they've got five more hours to deadline.

  • I was most impressed with Drew. Here he is 3-30, and instead of pressing to "do something" he draws that walk, keeps the inning alive, and gives someone else the chance.
